After 20+ years in the corporate world, I’ve always turned to art, photography, and crafting as a way to think visually and creatively. For a long time, I believed I needed all the gear to be a “good” artist or photographer—but the truth is, heavy cameras often just collected dust on my shelf.

I’ve tried many pocket cameras, and yes, your smartphone works too—but there’s something special about carrying a camera like the Ricoh GR in your pocket and being fully present in the moment. It’s an investment in simplicity, convenience, and capturing life as it happens. I still love my Olympus OM-3, Sony ZV E-10 II, and a few DJI products, but my go-to is the camera I can take everywhere.
